Let’s Work Together

I'm available for brand partnerships, writing commissions, recipe development, and speaking engagements.

Writing Commissions

My writing covers food culture, identity, and place, with a particular focus on underreported communities and cuisines. My work has appeared in Al Jazeera, Condé Nast Traveler, NPR, and TASTE, among others.

My debut cookbook Pakistan — named one of the best cookbooks of the year by The LA Times, Washington Post, Bon Appétit, and NPR — was described by Sameen Rushdie as the work of a cook with a rare "taste in her hands." Matt Rodbard, editor of TASTE, called it "a book to cook from, a book to read."

I'm available for reported features, cultural essays, and recipe development for brands, publications, and food platforms seeking deeply researched South and Central Asian content that resonates with global audiences.

Brand Partnerships

I create sponsored content that feels like the rest of my work — rooted in culture, written with depth, and made for audiences who cook seriously. I've built trust with readers across South Asian communities in North America, the UK, and South Asia over a decade.

What this can look like: sponsored newsletters, recipe development, social content, long-form brand storytelling.

Speaking Engagements

I speak on South Asian food culture and food as a lens on migration, identity, and politics — at universities, festivals, museums, and on podcasts.

Past engagements include panels on food and Partition, guest lectures on food writing, and institutional talks across North America and South Asia. Previous hosts include the Museum of Food and Drink, Carleton College, Beaconhouse National University, and the TASTE podcast.

Available for panels, guest lectures, keynotes, and podcast appearances.
